Rani Rashmoni was an eminent person, she established the famous Dakshineswar Kali Temple. She was born near Ganga river at Kanchrapara, which is well known as Rani Rashmoni Ghat. Though the original place, where she was born, was pulled though the river bur later on the remaining portion was saved successfully. There is a temple dedicated to Rani Rashmoni, in the winter few festivals are organised by the local authority. This place is also a tourist spot, beside Ganga river this place has its own aesthetic view.
